Recognized as a global innovator in training and less-lethal technology, RAP4 recently made quite a splash at the 13th Defense Services Asia (DSA) conference in Kuala Lumpur, where our products were on proud display alongside other cutting-edge equipment. The DSA is an annual gathering of security and defense professionals that attracts the top names in law enforcement and defense equipment manufacturers, trainers, and consultants...and this year, no booth was as dynamic as the RAP4 booth!
RAP4 proudly welcomed His Royal Highness Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, the Malaysian King and Sultan of Kedah, who handled our latest-generation T68. Accompanied by Sultanah Haminah Hamidun, the Queen of Malaysia, and their advisors, the king and queen inspected some of RAP4’s most impressive gear.
RAP4 also welcomed Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei, who took careful aim with a cutting-edge less lethal launcher. The T68 he handled featured the RAP4 Multi-Position Collapsible Stock that conceals an HPA tank inside, providing an onboard air reservoir, and the high-capacity interchangeable magazine that makes the T68 line of mag-fed less lethal launchers such an attractive option for forces who field M16/M4 -pattern arms.
These T68 compressed air powered carbine serves double duty as a training device for dynamic, force-on-force exercises, and as a less lethal launcher when loaded with specialty projectiles available only to certified police, security, and military entities. As a training device, these carbines replicate the handling, aiming, and controls of the M16/M4 family of duty rifles, allowing personnel to train on exact reproductions of their duty gear...with absolute safety, and a degree of realism unavailable through any other training regimen.
As less lethal launchers, the T68s are able to accurately target individual threats in crowds, dissuading them by way of pepper-based irritant projectiles or rubber projectiles, marking them with special marking projectiles. Other projectiles include ceramic balls designed to break through windows, and even non-marking training rounds for marksmanship practice. RAP4 offers custom ammunition for a wide range of specific uses, and this helped generate a lot of buzz around the show.
